WHAT’S NEW ON OUR TIMELINE OF ENDING BANK LINES. INTRODUCING INTERACTIVE TELLER MACHINES.
The Citizens Bank is excited to announce a new video teller service for drive thru ATM customers using high-definition video chat technology to connect with full service tellers. You will see and talk to a teller, but the teller is based in our ITM Call Center in Philadelphia, Mississippi. We were one of the first banks in Mississippi to roll out Interactive Teller Machines or ITMs.
ITMs are user friendly and easy to operate. The ITM video teller is prompted when the customer pulls up to a drive thru ITM | ATM machine and touches the screen or selects the Live Teller option. The TCB Live Teller appears in the screen to assist the customer with making account withdrawals, cash or check deposits, loan payments and transfers to or from accounts. The customer’s receipt includes the image of any check deposited. Deposits are posted to a customer’s account immediately as compared to those made through a traditional ATM, which can take up to a day or two to process.
INSTEAD OF PUNCHING BUTTONS, GET THE HUMAN TOUCH
The technology is ideal for consumer transactions, but complex business transactions or those with many items are not recommended. Checks can be cashed even to the penny and coins can be dispensed to the customer, but not deposited into the machine. The ITM machines can also dispense varied denominations of bills including singles, or fives. For ITM transactions, you will not use your debit card. A photo I.D. will be required to verify your identity, giving you greater security. Customers will continue to use their debit card for ATM card-assisted withdrawals any time day or night.

Our TCB Live Tellers are available for extended banking hours from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, which allows us to continue serving our customers beyond our traditional banking hours. That way you can still get to see a teller and tell them what you need and get your banking done with a customer service feel. Additionally, the ITMs let us assist more customers during busy times, thereby reducing wait times and your time in line inside the bank. Another important benefit: faster service. Because the remote teller doesn’t have to count cash or physically enter the amount of each check – the machine does it – transactions can be conducted more quickly than they would be inside the branch.

What is an Interactive Teller Machine or ITM?
ITM is the short name for Interactive Teller Machine, which is a video-based interactive technology that allows customers to conduct transactions and banking services driven by a centrally based teller, in a highly engaging real time video/audio interaction.
Where will the ITMs be located?
The new ITM machines will replace our current ATM machines. They will be multifunctional offering video banking 7 am to 5:30 pm and traditional ATM services any time of the day or night.
Why is Citizens launching ITMs?
It has always been our goal to be as connected with our customers as we can and to offer them the latest in banking technology. We wanted to be one of the first banks in Mississippi to offer ITM Machines giving our customers new ways to bank that are more convenient.
When will the new ITM | ATM machine be available at my branch?
We are launching the new ITMs in Philadelphia and will operate them there for a few weeks before rolling them out to additional branches in our footprint. We plan to update this web page frequently telling our customers when the new machines will be in their area.
Do I need my debit card or PIN?
For ITM transactions, you will not use your debit card. A photo I.D. will be required to verify your identity, giving you greater security. Customers will continue to use their debit card for ATM card-assisted withdrawals.
Do I have to use the video banking function?
No, you do not. You can continue to use the new ITM | ATM machine as an ATM. Simply use your card like you have always done when making an ATM transaction. If you prefer your business to be more discreet, you can also use the on-screen text messaging function.
What does the ITM allow me to do that the ATM did not?
With the new machines, there are enhanced withdrawal features. Whereas ATMs generally only provide cash in the form of twenty-dollar bills, ITMs allow you to cash a check precise to the penny and you can receive cash in requested denominations. While coins can be dispensed to the customer, they cannot be deposited into the machine.
The limit for deposits is 40 items at a time (bills or checks). We can handle a deposit that will have more than 40 items, but we have to accept the first 40 items and then you insert the next set. The same applies if we cash a check and need to dispense more than 40 bills. For example, if you want $100 in ones you will receive two sets of 40 and one set of 20.
Can I get banking questions answered?
While you can’t open or close an account through an ITM, you can change an address connected to your account, set an appointment, or ask basic account questions.
What are the extended hours?
One of the greatest benefits of the new ITM | ATM machines are the longer hours that allow you to speak directly to a live Citizens bank representative. While our current branch and drive thru hours vary by branch, the new ITM machines give you greater accessibility to a live teller beginning at 7:00 am each morning of the week until 5:30 pm.

The TCB Live Tellers are local out of Philadelphia, Mississippi where the ITM Call Center will be located. They are tellers with years of experience at The Citizens Bank and are excited about being a part of this innovative new way to bank.
