A personal debit card gives you instant access to existing checking accounts and may be used in the place of a check at any location that displays the VISA emblem worldwide. A debit card may also be used at an ATM machine with the customer’s Personal Identification Number (PIN). Check card purchases appear on monthly checking statements and you are given a receipt with every check card purchase for easy record keeping. The Citizens Bank offers one of the best debit cards and the service that goes along with it.
There is no charge for check card purchases. The daily purchase limit is $2,500.00. For use at foreign ATM’s, there is a $1.00 per ATM transaction fee. Foreign transactions could range from $1.00 to $3.00.

Credit cards allow you to finance small amounts over a period of time and they are accepted around the world.
Fees include $10.00 or 3% whichever is greater for a cash advance and an over the limit fee of 5% of the balance or $5.00 with a $25.00 maximum.

You can check deposit and loan account balances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with The Citizens Bank Phone Teller system using any telephone with touch-tone capabilities. Phone Teller is convenient, easy and can be accessed from anywhere in the United States.
The first time you call you will be asked to register. Once completed, you will be asked to enter your Social Security Number, then select a PIN. You will be prompted to enter this PIN every time you call to use Phone Teller. Caution: do not use the last four digits of your social security number as your PIN.
With Phone Teller, you can:
Find your accrued interest, maturity dates and loan payments, and confirm if checks have cleared or deposits have been made. Just enter a check number to confirm the amount of the check and if it has cleared your account.
Phone Teller even lets you complete a transfer between accounts using only a touch-tone phone.

For only $0.99 per month per debit card, our e-Alert service will send you a notification by e-mail or text anytime your debit card is used for purchases, pre-authorizations or ATM transactions. This optional service allows you to choose the specific alerts you want to sign up for, and which e-mail addresses or telephone number you want us to send them to. You can add new alerts or change your preferences at any time. Staying informed about your accounts can help defend you against fraud and Identity Theft. Convenient e-mails and texts like these provide helpful account information and are also a great way to help you keep track of purchases and your account balances.

With our online banking, you can view, print or save your most recent account statements through the online statements feature. To view your statements online, you will need Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Acrobat Reader is offered by Adobe as a free download at their website www.adobe.com. To view your online statements, click Account Access in the navigation menu, then click Online Statements.

A safety deposit box is a storage box, of various sizes, kept in the bank’s vault for safekeeping of personal items. Access to the box is possible only with the customer’s key and the bank’s master key.

Switching banks can be a hassle, but when you use The Citizens Bank’s Switch Kit the change is made easier. Switching becomes is as simple as 1-2-3.
Visit any location of The Citizens Bank to open an account.
Determine which of the following forms need to be completed. Our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to help in filling out the appropriate forms.
Direct Deposit Change Request. Download this form to assist in switching your existing direct deposits, social security, etc. For changes to Social Security deposits call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 or go to www.ssa.gov/deposit.
Automatic Payment Change Letter. Bring a list of automatic drafts and billing statements. If statements are not available, names, account numbers, mailing address and telephone number of automatic drafts will be needed. (Example: utilities, insurance payments, loan payments, etc).
Close Account Letter. Send letter to old bank after all outstanding items have cleared. Make sure automatic payments and deposits have been transferred to your new account at The Citizens Bank before closing the old account (this may take several weeks). Note: Each institution may require its own form to be completed. This letter will allow the institution to send you the correct form needed or make contact to verify the change request is valid.
