Health Savings Account

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is an account that you can put money into to save for future medical expenses. There are certain advantages to putting money into these accounts, including favorable tax treatment.

Contributions to your HSA can be made by you, your employer, or both. However, the total contributions are limited annually.

The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts as well as certain eligible NOW accounts which earn .25% annual interest or less are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account.
